Dispensing Calibration Module
A. Dispensing Calibration Module Components
1. The Dispensing Calibration Module consists of the following components:
Weigh Station
- The weigh station contains a scale that measures the weight of
dispensed fluid.
- It sends the information to the FmNT software for mass flow
calibration.
Purge Station
- The purge station prepares the needle for dispensing by cleaning the
outer diameter of the needle.
- It also automatically purges the valve at user-defined intervals.
Needle Sensor
- The needle sensor locates the XYZ position of the needle.
- It is used with FmNT software to determine necessary system offsets
required for accurate dispensing.
Tactile Sensor
- The tactile sensor calculates the offset between the needle and the
probe.
- It is used with FmNT software during the Valve Offsets routine.
Ceramic Tile
- The ceramic tile is a dispensing substrate used to calculate the
camera-to-needle offset.
B. Dispensing Service Area Leveling and Height Adjustment
1. The Dispensing Calibration Module allows simultaneous height and level
adjustment of the needle sensor, scale and purge cup to accommodate
differing work piece heights
2. It may be necessary to re-level it if the dispensing system has been moved
or if any components have been changed or moved.
