Power Failure (Continued)
D. Power Troubleshooting Summary
Symptom Possible Cause Recovery
1. The Start button has not been
pressed.
Press ON (l) on the Operator’s
Console.
2. Main Power Cable is
disconnected.
Check that the Main Power Cable is
connected to an AC source.
3. Main Power Circuit Breaker is
OFF.
Turn ON the Main Power Circuit
Breaker at the rear of the system.
4. EMO button has been
activated.
• Remedy the problem causing
the shutdown.
• Close the Hatch.
• Turn the EMO button
counterclockwise until it
pops out.
• Press ON (l) on the Operator’s
Console.
No power to major
system components.
5. Blown fuse in electrical system. Call a trained service technician.
E. Troubleshooting Guidelines
1. A dispensing system in need of troubleshooting may have High Voltage
present in both designated and unsuspected places that can result in injury
or death. It is imperative to adhere to the Safety Precautions outlined in the
Safety Section of this training guide.
2. Disconnect and lockout power to systems connected to the dispensing
system (such as loaders and ovens) before troubleshooting. Failure to do so
may result in serious injury or death.
3. Troubleshooting should only be performed by an Asymtek Field Service
Engineer or an Asymtek-trained service technician.
4. Incorrect facility voltage, air pressure supply, ventilation, or uneven floors
can adversely affect system performance. Facility requirements are specified
in Lesson 1-6 on page 1-25.
5. Problems from incorrect system installation after relocation should be
corrected before undertaking the troubleshooting procedures listed in this
section.
6. Problems resulting from environmental and applications abnormalities, spills,
obstructions, and workpiece irregularities not related to the system should be
eliminated before starting advanced system troubleshooting.
