Dispensing Head Moves in X or Y-Axis
FmNT
A program command is issued to the FmNT
software.
PMAC Card
y
Receives FmNT command to move
Dispensing Head to a specific XY position.
y
Sends low-voltage direction and power level
output signals to the X and Y Servo Amplifiers.
y
Receives feedback from:·
¾
X and Y Linear Encoders (position)
¾
X and Y Rotary Encoders (velocity)
y
Calculates how much power should be
delivered to Servo Motors.
Main Interface PWA
y
Is an intermediate step as relayed information
is communicated between the PMAC Card
and the XY Servo Interface PWA.
XY Servo Interface PWA
y
Relays PMAC signals to the X and Y Servo
Amplifiers
X and Y Linear Encoders
y
Supply Dispensing Head position
information on a constant basis to the
PMAC.
XY Servo Amplifiers
y
Receive low-voltage motor direction and
power signals from the PMAC
y
Amplify PMAC signals into high power level to
move the X and Y Servo Motors.
y
Receive and interpret Hall Sensor feedback
that indicates direction motor is turning
y
Regulates power to motor windings to cause
motor to move in the desired direction.
Rotary Encoders
y
Supply velocity and acceleration
information to the PMAC.
XY Servo Motors
y
Receive power from Servo Amplifiers.
y
Turn the cable pulleys to move the
Dispensing Head in the X and Y-axes.
Computer
Servo Interconnect Cables
Hall Sensors
y
Sense X and Y Servo Motor direction and
report it to the X and Y Servo Amplifiers.
