3.2.6 Sensor details pages
There are several alternative sensor details pages. The page that displays depends on
which Channel Summary panel was selected.
3.2.6.1 Temperature Sensor Details page
This page displays detailed information about the selected temperature sensor.
Figure 3-14 Temperature Sensor Details Page
The page contains the following fields and controls:
Sensor name
Sensor Readings
The values shown are:
I(
μA) - the sensor excitation current in μA.
P(
μW) - the power dissipated in the sensor in μW.
R(
Ω) - the resistance of the sensor in Ohms.
S(
Ω/K) - the sensitivity of the sensor in ohms per Kelvin.
T(K) - the temperature measured by the sensor in Kelvin.
V (mV) - the sensor output voltage in mV.
Sensor Type
Select a sensor type from a drop-down menu. Available types are:
Thermocouple - a thermocouple.
PTC - positive temperature coefficient sensor.
NTC - negative temperature coefficient sensor.
Diode - a diode sensor.
Refer to Section 4.5 for a detailed explanation of sensor types.
Calibration
Select a calibration file from a drop-down menu. The list of files changes depending
on which sensor type is selected.
Interpolation
Select an interpolation method for calculating the calibration curve from the
calibration table (see Section 4.5.3).
Excitation
Select an excitation mode from a drop-down menu (see Section 4.4.1).
