5.4.5.2 Configuring automatic control of the gas valve
1 If Auto is selected in the Flow(%) field, tap Gas Cfg. The Gas Flow Configuration
page opens.
2 Tap HTT.
3 Select a Heater Target Table to be used for controlling the valve.
4 Tap Valve Gearing and enter the required value. See Section 3.2.10 for an
explanation of Valve Gearing.
5 If required, adjust the TES value.
6 If required, adjust the TVES value.
7 If required, adjust the Min Gas Flow (%) value to define a minimum opening
position for the needle valve.
8 Tap Home to return to the Home page.
5.5 Testing the inputs and outputs
If any of the following tests fails, refer to Chapter 9 for troubleshooting information.
1 Switch on the iTC.
5.5.1 Testing the temperature sensor inputs
1 Check that the temperature displayed on each of the connected temperature
sensors is correct.
5.5.2 Testing the heater output
1 Tap Control on the Home page. The Control Loop Configuration page is displayed.
2 Select the required temperature-sensor in the Sensor field.
3 Set the Heat field to Auto.
4 Tap Set (K).
5 Enter a setpoint that is slightly above the temperature displayed by the sensor.
6 Tap Home to return to the Home page.
7 Check that the heater power displayed in the relevant panel is greater than 0%.
8 Check that the temperature displayed in the panel rises to the setpoint value and
then stabilises.
9 Test the heater at various setpoint values.
5.5.3 Configuring remote interfaces
If it is required to control the iTC from a remote computer, refer to Section 6.5.
