SERVICE PRECAUTIONS
—CAUTION—
Be very careful when connecting or disconnecting test equipment
(except voltmeter) or before removing or replacing any unit.
Accidental grounding at the regulator, alternator, ammeter, or
accessories will cause severe damage to the units and wiring.
—CAUTION—
Do not attempt to ground or polarize alternator or operate
alternator on an open circuit. Attempting to do so may result in
damage to alternator, regulator, or circuits.
—CAUTION—
Always check polarity of a charger or booster battery before
connecting it to the airplane. Failure to do so could cause severe
damage to electrical components.
