5. Rotate the camshaft until the two alignment marks
align parallel to the cylinder head and the mounting
holes in the sprocket align with the mounting holes in
the camshaft.
IMPORTANT
Ensure the engine does not rotate while rotating
camshaft.
6. Slide the sprocket on the camshaft. Install NEW
sprocket fasteners
q
and torque to specification.
TORQUE
Camshaft Sprocket Fasteners:
14 ft-lbs (19 Nm)
7. Install the chain tensioner. Refer to Cam Chain
Tensioner Service page 3.37.
8. Rotate the engine crankshaft two full rotations and
recheck timing. Adjust as needed.
9. Install the valve cover. Refer to Valve Cover Service
page 3.35.
10.Install the Crankshaft Position Sensor. Refer to CPS
Replacement page 4.11.
