Restoring Factory Defaults

To restore the Quantum Spark Appliance to its default factory configuration using U-boot
(boot loader):
1. Connect to the console port on the appliance with (use the serial console connection on
the back panel of the appliance).
2. Reboot the appliance.
3. During boot, when the applicable message appears, press CTRL+C.
The Gaia Embedded Boot Menu appears:
Welcome to Gaia Embedded Boot Menu:
1. Start in normal Mode
2. Start in debug Mode
3. Start in maintenance Mode
4. Restore to Factory Defaults (local)
5. Install/Update Image/Boot-Loader from Network
6. Restart Boot-Loader
7. Run Hardware diagnostics
8. Install DSL Firmware/Upload preset configuration file
Please enter your selection (press ENTER to finish):
4. Enter 4 to select the option Restore to Factory Defaults (local).
5. When the prompt appears "Are you sure? (y/n)", enter y to continue and restore the
appliance to its factory defaults settings.
While factory defaults are restored, the Power LED blinks blue to show progress. This
takes up to a few minutes. When completed, the appliance boots automatically.
To disable the reset to default:
Use this Gaia Clish command:
set additional-hw-settings reset-timeout 0
To enable the reset to default:
Use this Gaia Clish command:
set additional-hw-settings reset-timeout 12
