The SELECT ALARM menu appears and you can now
select the NAVALARMS group by pressing the corresponding softkey. When
thewsoftkey
has been pressed, the SET NAV ALARMS menu
appears.
Press
the-1
softkey.
Use the numeric keys to enter the drift limit distance to the right on the
SET ALARMS menu. (Input values can range from
.Ol
to 9.99 nautical miles).
Pressmlwhen
the value is correct to activate the anchor watch alarm
and return to the Navigate-Position display.
Example: To set an anchor limit of
600
feet,

In the event that you drift beyond the distance set for the anchor watch
alarm, the audio beeper will sound and the anchor alarm will be indicated
on the bottom of the display screen. The alarm will activate in any mode of
operation, including the
tishfinding
modes.
To silence the audible
alarm,just
press
themkey.
The audio alarm will
remain silenced until the alarm condition is reset and then again detected.
The alarm symbol is filled in even though the audio is temporarily OFF.
The Anchor watch distance will remain stored into memory and will
become the alarm distance for every selected waypoint unless the type of
alarm and the distance value is canceled or changed by the operator.
TO CANCEL THE ANCHOR ALARM: Return to the SET NAV ALARMS menu
and press
thelsoftkey.

unit to the previous display mode.

Alarm
The OFFCOURSE alarm is used to alert you if your vessel strays too far away
from your intended track when you are steering to a specific waypoint
destination. This feature isparticularlyuseful when you need to hold a tight
course, or if you are using an autopilot, to monitor the pilot’s steering
effectiveness.
