Press

key. The
SELECT ALARM
menu appears and you can now
select the
NAVALARMS
group by pressing the corresponding
softkey.
When
the-
softkey
has been pressed, the SET NAV ALARMS menu
appears.
To set the OFF COURSE alarm, just press
thevjsoftkey.
Enter
the desired distance
that represents the maximum margin that you would
allow for being off the intended track line using the numeric keys. Press the
v/key
to set the alarm into operation and press
them
key again to
return to the previous display mode.

Whenever the Off Course alarm is set and the XTE distance exceeds the
alarm value, the alarm will be activated, an audible beeper will sound and
a message showing the type of alarm will appear on-screen in any display
mode.
To silence the audible alarm,just press
them
key. The audio alarm will
remain silenced until the alarm condition is reset and then again detected.
The alarm symbol is filled in even though the audio is temporarily OFF.
The
OFF COURSE
limits will remain stored in memory and will become the
alarm distance for every selected
waypoint
unless the distance value is
canceled or changed by the operator.
TO CANCEL THE OFF COURSE

Return to the SET NAV ALARMS
menu, press
thevlsoftkey
and type
