Inserting the Memory Card
1. Make sure the Power switch is set to OFF.

Carefully turn the camcorder over so that you
are looking at the bottom of the unit. Use your
thumb to slide the memo W card latch in the
direction of the arrow and li_ open the door.
Insert the memory card with the arrow on the
card facing down (this is the end with the
comer cut off one side) and the label facing the
LCD monitor. Be careful not to touch fl_e metal
contacts on the reverse side of the label. Push
the card in fully until it locks in place.
Close the memo1 T card door until it locks into
place.
Notes:
Be sure to only use SD Memory Cards or
MultiMediaCards,
Some brands of memory cards are not
compatible with this camcorde_ Before
purchasing a memory card, consult your
manufacturer or deale_
You need to format a new memory card
before you can use it (see page 72).
Inserting the memory card
Very important: Never insert/remove the
memory card while the camcorder is turned on.
The memory card may become corrupt or the
camcorder may not be able to recognize it is
installed.
