ISSUE
SOLUTION
Uncommanded flight in a circular motion
aka “toilet bowling”
1. Try to fly a figure-8 pattern in the air
to regain control.
2. Land and perform a compass/
magnetometer calibration:
3. Connect the AV and GCS.
4. Touch the
Main Menu
icon.
5. Select
Vehicle Setup
.
6. Select
Sensors
.
7. Select
Compass
to calibrate the
magnetometer.
8. Be ready to pick up and rotate the
AV.
9. Click
OK
in the top right of the
screen to begin.
10. The first tone from the AV will alert
you to begin. Follow the instructions
on the GCS screen.
11. The second tone will prompt you to
hold the AV
steady for the next
orientation.
12. Select
Reboot Vehicle
when
finished.
13. Reestablish connection between the
GCS and the AV.
Due to known errata, it is
recommended to perform a power
cycle.
The AV will be stuck flying in a circular
motion uncommanded.
