4.4 MISSION MODE
Mission Mode will execute a predefined autonomous flight plan that is created on or
uploaded to the GCS. The flight plans may be uploaded before or during flight. Mission
Mode requires GPS. No user intervention is required in Mission Mode.
Any GCS stick movement will change
the AV
from Mission Mode to
Position Mode.
The AV is not intended to perform
acrobatic maneuvers, such as flips,
rolls, and loops. Intentional
aerobatics may result in an
unrecoverable loss of control of
flight
, and all warranties are void if
attempted.
4.5 FOLLOW ME MODE
“Follow Me” mode allows the AV to autonomously follow and track the GCS based on its
GPS position. The AV automatically yaws to face and follow the target from a specified
relative position, horizontal distance, and height above the home position.
Follow Me mode maintains the AV’s altitude as it follows the target. It does not adjust the
AV’s altitude according to the altitude of the target.
Follow me is accessible as a flight mode option on the TAC.
To access Follow Me mode:
1. Open Teal QGC.
2. Tap the Main Menu icon.
3. Tap Vehicle Setup.
4. Select Button Assignment at the top of the screen.
5. Select a button menu to open the button assignment options.
6. Select Follow me mode.
