5. If the multiplexer is equipped with a redundant power supply, connect the redundant input
power source to the input power terminal block on the rear of the Main Shelf as follows:
Ac-Powered Multiplexers
:
Redundant Ac Input (hot) +BAT R terminal
Redundant Ac Input (neutral) -BAT R terminal
Dc-Powered Multiplexers
:
Redundant Station Battery + +BAT R terminal
Redundant Station Battery - -BAT R terminal
For dc-powered multiplexers, make sure that a 2-amp slow-blow fuse is placed in
line with Redundant Station Battery + to protect the multiplexer.
6. Connect the E1 inputs and outputs of each CM4 E1 Common Module by inserting the cable
containing the appropriate E1 input and output pairs into the E1 I/O connector on each MA-
270R Module Adapter.
7. Connect all low-speed circuits to their assigned Module Adapters.
8. Connect ALARM and ALERT contacts if used.
