6. With the local E1 loopback in place, perform all desired channel tests using available VF, data,
and other type test sets. These tests may include loss tests on voice and program channels, bit
error tests on data channels, and so on.
7. After completing channel tests, take down the loopback either by removing the patch cord or by
deactivating the Equipment Loopback (EqLB).
8. Return timing mode to Loop.
a. Press down on the Group switch several times to display the TIME group.
b. Press down on the SET/NEXT switch several times to display the LOOP function.
c. Press up on the SET/NEXT switch twice to set timing to loop.
9. Again verify the states of the indicators shown in Table 8-4.
10. You can now perform end-to-end or single-ended (far-end loopback) tests on all channels
established between any two locations in the system.
Refer to the individual channel module sections for recommended test procedures.
This three-location IMUX 2000 system is now ready for service.
