• The semi-circular notch of each NVRAM should be aligned with the white semi-circular notch
below it as shown above at the dotted white lines.
• If the NVRAMs are installed incorrectly, this could cause the board and NVRAMs to short out
and cause permanent damage.
3. Reassemble the machine.
4. Turn on the main power of the machine
• Make sure you print out the SMC reports ("SP Mode Data" and "Logging Data") before you
replace the NVRAM.
• Keep NVRAMs away from any objects that can cause static electricity. Static electricity can
damage NVRAM data.
• Make sure the NVRAM is correctly installed on the controller board.
