General Information
This description is written for users who wish to connect their Sartorius Balance to
a Computer or a different peripheral device using a V24/V28-RS232C(-SD/423
interface.
By using an on-line Computer, you can change, activate and monitor the functions
of the balance and the application programs.
Sartorius Balances of the MC1 generation come with a V24/V28-RS232C(-
S)*)/423 interface as a Standard feature.
You can plug an external remote-control switch into the data interface port to acti-
vate these functions: print (data transfer), open/close the draft shield, F1 or F2
key function, or tare.
The data interface also provides data output port lines for various application
programs.
lf you interface an original Sartorius accessory device, such as a Sartorius Data
Printer or a similar unit, with a balance that has the factory-set menu codes, you
do not need to change any settings.
