3 Turn the head lock lever  clockwise to
unlock the print head.
CAUTION
• The print head and its surroundings are hot after
printing. Be careful not to touch it, to avoid being
burned.
• Touching the edge of the print head with your bare
hand could cause injury.
4 Loosen the screw  until the bearing
clamp  is released.
Do not remove the screw.
5 Remove the bearing  from the chassis
and the shaft of the platen roller .
6 Pull out the platen roller  from the
product and replace it with a new platen
roller.
7 Insert the gear end of the platen roller 
fully into the center frame of the product.
8 Place the bearing  back to the chassis
and the shaft of the platen roller.
9 Rotate the bearing clamp  onto the
bearing  and attach it with the screw
.
After replacement
• Adjust the print darkness.
