Faults with display message
Display message Cause What to do
0) Water flow error While a beverage is being dispensed,
the flow meter performs fewer than the
defined number of minimum rotations.
It is likely that the water system is
blocked or partially blocked.
The water flow error is only shown in the first 5 sec-
onds if the flow quantity is less than 1 ml/3 s.
There is a problem with the water sup-
ply.
► Check the water supply and open the water tap.
The upper piston of the brewing unit is
blocked.
► Manually release the brewing unit piston. Move
the brew cylinder to the "top" end position using
the "Test / calibration" - "Move brew cylinder" sys-
tem parameter.
The water pump pressure is too low. ► Check the pump pressure. Make the correction in
the "Test / calibration" - "Adjust pump pressure"
system parameter.
The brewing valve does not open. ► Check the power supply of the brewing valve and
the valve itself.
Clogging due to lime scale in the water
system.
► Check the supply line of the coffee water boiler.
The grinding fineness setting is too
fine.
► Set the grind level coarser so that the brewing wa-
ter can flow more readily.
The flowmeter is faulty. ► Checked the wiring between the flowmeter and
the mainboard.
1) Over current brewer motor -
A brewer motor overcurrent of 4 A was detected.
The wiring between the brewer motor
and the board is faulty.
► Check the wiring and the contacts.
The motor is faulty. ► Replace the motor.
The main board is faulty ► Replace the board.
2) Brew unit timeout The positions of the brew cylinder are
detected by measuring the current con-
sumption. The following two positions
are detected by means of a current
consumption peak:
Top brew cylinder position.
Bottom brew cylinder position.
If a current consumption peak is not detected after a
brew cylinder movement of 10 sec, the message
"Brew unit timeout" appears.
The wiring between the brewer motor
and the board is faulty.
► Check the wiring and the contacts.
The motor/gear is faulty. ► Replace the motor/gear.
The main board (motor driver) is faulty ► Replace the board.
