4.3.4 Small Movement Switch

WARNING
When moving the system by the small movement switch, make
sure that there are no obstacles around the system.
If the system hits a drip infusion stand or runs over cables of other
equipment then the system may pose a serious danger to a patient.
Caution is required when the system is located on the opposite side of the
bed. The operator may not be able to see the base of the system. The
bumper switch on the front of the system may not detect anything light in
weight such as drip infusion stands or cables from other equipment.
The small movement switch makes it possible to move the system forward and
backward more slowly than in the slow travel mode.
If the small movement switch continues to be pressed with the tube arm
unlocked, the
system moves forward or backward. The maximum speed is
approx. 5 cm/s.
The small movement switch automatically terminates after approx. 10 seconds.
When further movement is required, repeat the process.
If the system can not be moved due to thick carpet, etc., move it with the running
handle, because the driving motor power in the small movement mode is much
less than in the slow travel mode.
CAUTION
If the small movement switch should fail while it is pressed down, the system
may continue to move dangerously. At this time press the “Emergency Stop
Switch” to stop the system. It is also possible to stop the system by pressing
the two small movement switches simultaneously or pressing one of the
switches while also pressing the other switch.
The function of the small movement switch is controlled by the main
software. If it malfunctions, turn off and on the key switch.
