5.4 Dose Area Meter
Because of the risk of damage to the Dose Area Meter, the transparent
electrodes of the measuring chamber must not be subjected to mechanical
pressure.
The Dose Area Meter is optionally attached on the front of Collimator R-20C.
The Dose Area Meter measures the dose area product and displays the dose
area product.
The Dose area meter can be operated when the arm lock has been released and
the power lead is disconnected from the power supply.
The Dose area meter is a highly sensitive detector. After application of the
chamber voltage, it needs 3 minutes to form and stabilize before the
performance characteristics specified in the data sheet are met. This time is
called stabilization time.
The measuring system is ready for measurements before this time has
elapsed.
