4.10 Emergency Brake Release Function
This device is equipped with an emergency brake release function that is
designed to release the device’s brake in the event of an emergency, such as
device movement problems, etc.
4.10.1 How to activate the emergency brake release function
Turn off the key switch on the power supply panel, and remove the key.
Insert the removed key into the switch for activating the emergency brake
release function on the front panel of the main unit, and turn on the switch. Then,
the emergency brake release function will be activated.
CAUTION
Do not turn on the switch for activating the emergency brake release
function except for cases of emergency.
When the emergency brake release function is activated, the brake release lever
on the running handle is disabled. Also, the power assist will not operate,
because the power supply switch is off.
4.10.2 Releasing the emergency brake
The emergency brake is released by pressing the emergency brake release
switch which is mounted on the left of the running handle section.
CAUTION
Do not use the emergency brake release switch except for case of
emergency.
CAUTION
When using the emergency brake release switch, be especially
cautious about the tilt of the floor. Be sure to operate the emergency
brake release switch only in emergencies.
