5.8 Changing Internet settings

Use this function to configure the type of Internet access.
● You have opened the "Connection" tab in the "Internet Options" dialog with the
"Internet Options" icon.
● Your system administrator has provided the necessary information for the setting.
1. If you want to use LAN without automatic dial-up, select the "Use LAN (no autodial)"
check box.
2. If you want to use LAN with automatic dial-up, deselect the "Use LAN (no autodial)" check
box and select the name in the "Autodial name" list.
3. If you are using a proxy server, select the "Access the Internet using …" check box in the
"Network" group.
4. If you want to use a proxy server, select the "Use a proxy server" check box.
Specify the address and port of the proxy server. Only the start of the addresses is
required. Separate the addresses with a semicolon.
5. In order to prevent using the proxy server for certain addresses, press "Advanced".
The following dialog appears:
In the text box, enter the addresses for which the proxy server should not be used.
Only the start of the addresses is required. Separate the addresses with a semicolon.
Confirm your entries with "OK" or close the dialog with "Cancel".
6. To use a local address, select the "Bypass for local address" check box.
7. Confirm your entries.
The dialog closes.
The parameters for the LAN connection have been assigned.
