Updating firmware
Someapplicationsrequireaminimumdevicefirmwareleveltooperatecorrectly.
Formoreinformationonupdatingthedevicefirmware,contactyourrepresentative.
1 Open a web browser, and then type the printer IP address in the address field.

ViewtheprinterIPaddressontheprinterhomescreen.TheIPaddressappearsasfoursetsofnumbers
separated by periods, such as 123.123.123.123.

Ifyouareusingaproxyserver,thentemporarilydisableittoloadthewebpagecorrectly.
2 ClickSettings→Device→UpdateFirmware.
3 Browse to the flash file.
4 Click Upload.
Exporting or importing a configuration file
Youcanexporttheconfigurationsettingsofyourprinterintoatextfile,andthenimportthefiletoapplythesettingsto
other printers.

4 If the printer supports applications, then do the following:
1)ClickApps→selecttheapplication→Configure.
2)ClickExportorImport.
Adding available options in the print driver

For Windows users
1 Open the printers folder.
2 Select the printer you want to update, and then do either of the following:

ForWindows7orlater,selectPrinterproperties.

Forearlierversions,selectProperties.
3 Navigate to the Configuration tab, and then select Update Now - Ask Printer.
4 Apply the changes.

For Macintosh users
1 FromSystemPreferencesintheApplemenu,navigatetoyourprinter,andthenselectOptions&Supplies.
2 Navigate to the list of hardware options, and then add any installed options.
3 Apply the changes.
