In such cases, carry out this procedure with two persons: One person on each side of the
bed.

Always keep hold of the backrest handle with one hand so as to “control” the adjustment.
1 Hold the backrest handle with one
hand and pull the control lever up-
wards with the other hand.
2 Keep hold of the handle on the back-
rest and carefully let the backrest
down. The backrest will not be held in
position until the control lever has been
released.
Before lowering the backrest, ensure that neither the patient's limbs nor your own are in the
radius of movement of the backrest.
