14.3 Mains cable replacement
Note: The battery is attached to the CO61 control unit from below with a snap system.
The control unit is also mounted on top of the mounting bracket in the same way.

Press the lower clip upwards and push the battery a few centimetres away from the clip
until the battery can be removed downwards.

Loosen the connecting cable on the battery housing. To do this, unlock both snap-in
catches from the cover lock (use a fine flat-head screwdriver to do so).
4.
Then open the cover and disconnect the plug from the control unit.
5.
Replace the lithium-ion/lead-acid battery with an identical one.
6.
Attach the battery (carry out installation in reverse order).
7.
Test the electric adjustments to ensure they work correctly!
8.
Charge the batteries. To do so, connect the bed to the mains supply for at least 8 -10
hours. Only then is the battery ready for emergency use without restriction.
1.
For easier installation, move the mattress base to the highest position, if possible.
2.
Unplug the mains plug from the electrical socket.
3.
At the head end of the mattress base frame, release the strain relief for the mains ca-
ble.
4.
Remove the mains cable from the holders.
Disconnect the protective earth connection (see Connect the earth conductor » 120).
5.
Unplug the IEC connector from the control unit. To do this, use a screwdriver to slightly
press the red securing clips together on the IEC connector.
6.
Plug the new IEC connector into the control unit.
7.
The red securing clips prevent the plug from being unintentionally disconnected from
the control unit!
Reconnect the protective earth connection (see Connect the earth conductor » 120).
8.
Replace the mains cable in the holders.
9.
Screw the mains cable strain relief back in place.
10.
Plug the mains cable into an electrical socket. The control unit LED must light up
green.
11.
Carry out an electrical measurement of the protective earth conductor!
12.
Test the electric adjustments to ensure they work correctly!
Installation is complete.
