17.2 Information on electromagnetic compatibility (EMC)
WARNING
To ensure EMC, only use cables and accessories approved by the manufacturer (see
Available accessories » 144). Due to the possibility of electrical interference from neigh-
bouring devices, brief interruptions of electric adjustment functions cannot be completely
ruled out. For the intended use, no significant performance limitations of this bed are
known/expected as a result.
Up-to-date lists of accessories can be obtained from Stiegelmeyer and their sales partners
by indicating the bed model.
The following accessories are available for this bed:
Patient lifting pole with special grab handle (integrated strangulation protection for chil-
dren prevents children from poking their head through the handle)
Mattresses, various dimensions, see chapter Dimensions » 44
Holders for crutches, towels etc., various
Handles, various
Infusion holders, for attachment to patient lifting pole, various
Infusion stands for attachment to the bed, various
Urine bottle holders, various
Risk of malfunctions
Failure to heed this warning may result in malfunctions.
Only use accessories approved by the manufacturer. The use of accessories, transducers
and cables other than those supplied by the manufacturer of this bed may result in in-
creased electromagnetic emissions or reduced electromagnetic immunity of the bed and
may lead to incorrect operation.
The use of this device next to other devices should be avoided, as this could result in in-
correct operation. If such use is nevertheless necessary, this device and the other devices
should be monitored to ensure that they are working properly.
Portable RF communication devices (radio, mobile phones, etc.), including their accesso-
ries (such as antenna cables and external antennas) should not be used at a distance of
less than 30 cm from the electrical parts and cables of this bed. Failure to observe this
may result in a reduction in the performance of the device.
