13.4 Servicing plan
Components Action Interval Information
All screw connections
and/or metal safety
caps
Check that they are
firmly positioned; tight-
en and/or replace if
necessary.
At least once a year Use suitable tools.
Connecting bolts on
the removable head-
board and footboard
Clean and slightly
grease, if necessary.
At least once a year Use resin-free and
acid-free grease (e.g.
grease C).
Patient lifting pole
sleeve at the head
end, on the outside
(optional)
Remove possible
burrs with a file
If necessary, at least
once a year
Use suitable tools.
Pivot and friction bear-
ings
Clean and lightly
spray.
As necessary Use resin-free and
acid-free oil spray (e.g.
lubricant A).
Bowden cable for CPR
release of backrest
Check that they are
correctly adjusted and
routed.
At least once a year There must be no
sharp bends or kinks!
Lead-acid batteries Check whether charg-
ed and ready for use.
Recommendation: Re-
place lead-acid batter-
ies after 5 years at the
latest (wear and tear
part)
Connect bed to mains
supply.
Li-ion batteries Check whether charg-
ed and ready for use.
Recommendation: Re-
place rechargeable
batteries after 8 years
(wear and tear part)
Connect bed to mains
supply.
Earth wires Check for tears and
tightness of screws.
At least once a year Replace torn or dam-
aged earth wires.
Damaged coating Touch up any dam-
aged areas of the
coating:
As necessary Matching colour spe-
cial-purpose paint
(mechanically stable
corrosion protection).
O-rings ("sealing
rings") on the electric
plugs
Always check whether
they are present
and/or damaged.
Whenever plugs have
been disconnected
(e.g. after replacing
drives or during trou-
bleshooting)
The plugs of new com-
ponents are always fit-
ted with a new O-ring.
