9.2 Locking/unlocking electric adjustment functions
CAUTION
Place the brake pedal in a horizontal position to release the steering lock.
1 The brake pedal is located at the
foot end of the bed.
2 Set the brake pedal to a horizon-
tal middle position.
3 Set the castors to the direction in
which you wish to move the bed.
Lower the brake pedal on the
castor.
4 Move the bed from the opposite
end to which the steering lock is
located. This makes it easier to
control.
A castor with steering lock is always poin-
ted forward. Castors without a steering lock
are rotatable by 360°.
Only users are authorised to lock adjustment functions! Medical personnel must decide
which functions, if any, should be locked.
If the clinical condition of the patient is so critical that adjustments using the handset/LCD
handset might be dangerous for her/him, the user must immediately lock the respective func-
tions.
The bed remains in the position it was in at the time it was switched off. A sticker on the linen
holder draws attention to the fact that:
Locked function sticker
Risk of crushing
Failure to heed this warning may result in injuries due to inadvertent activation of the hand-
set!
