15.3 RESET: Acknowledging faults on LCD handset
WARNING
ATTENTION
Alternatively, a RESET can also be carried out very easily on the control box instead of
the LCD handset (see RESET: Acknowledge faults on control box » 140).
For safety reasons, if a serious error is detected by the control unit all functions are electroni-
cally locked.
Risk of injury
Failure to heed this warning, such as by repeatedly resetting the control unit without rectify-
ing the cause of the fault, may result in injury due to inadvertent actuation of the control unit
functions.
Acknowledge the fault as described below.
If the control unit automatically locks again within a short space, contact Stiegelmeyer’s
service centre to rectify the cause of the fault.
Depending on the bed fixtures, the locked function is indicated by:
an appropriate warning symbol on the display panel of connected control units
the locking buttons concerned on the control box will alternately flash green and or-
ange.
If the patient presses a button, a signal tone indicates a fault. If after a RESET, it is still not
possible to carry out a mattress base height adjustment, please additionally carry out a new
initialisation.
Risk of malfunctions
Failure to heed this warning may result in a malfunction.
Faults must only be rectified by service personnel.
Rectify faults as instructed in the fault rectification table. Faults must not be acknowledged
until they have been rectified.
