11.1 Attaching posey belts

Failure to heed this warning may result in injury.

Please observe the instruction manual and safety information provided by the manufactur-
er of the restraint systems before and while restraining a patient, in order to prevent the
risk of serious injuries to the patient!
•
Always thread the belts round the outer metal frame of the mattress base and not round
the plastic handles attached to it.
•
Attach the restraint system only to the locations on the hospital bed shown in the following
illustration. This will ensure that the patient is restrained safely and is not exposed to dan-
ger.
The arrows in the following illustration show slots in the plastic mattress base (optional equip-
ment) through which restraint system belts can be threaded.
