9.2.1 On the LCD handset
The basic operating concept is described in the chapter LCD handset (optional) » 24.
Lock the operating functions for the patient on the handset if:
•
If the patient is not able to operate the bed safely or to extricate himself/herself from dan-
gerous situations
•
If the patient could be harmed by unintentional or inadvertent adjustments made by the
drives
•
Accessories or other devices are attached that could restrict the adjustment range of the
bed, and put the patient at risk or cause damage to equipment
•
Safety sides are fitted
•
Children are left unattended in a room with the bed.
