Time interleaving length
This field indicates the length of the time interleaving:
• If the Time interleaving type is set to “Several T2-frame”, this field indicates the
number of T2 frames to which each Interleaving Frame is mapped.
• If the Time interleaving type is set to “One T2-frame” this field indicates the
number of TI-blocks per Interleaving Frame. One T2-Frame corresponds to one
Interleaving frame.
Null packet deletion
This feature allows to drop null packets and is only valid for Transport Stream (TS) payload
type. Dropped null packets are restored in the receiver.
ISSY
This field enables the Input Stream Synchronisation (ISSY). Two modes are supported:
• ISSY short (Only for Normal Mode)
• ISSY long
BUFS
BUFS defines the maximum size of the requested receiver buffer to compensate delay
variations. Maximum size of 2 Mbits. Only available when using ISSY.
Design delay
Set delay through receiver buffer to handle dejitter and deinterleaving. Only available
when using ISSY. Settings this value slightly larger than the T2-Frame duration should
handle most cases. Alternatively setting this value to 0 forces the T2 receiver to handle the
delay dynamically.
In-band Signaling A
In-band signaling A carries L1 update information and co-scheduled information for the
next Interleaving Frame. Mandatory unless using Several T2-Frame Interleaving. Sent
in the first BBFrame of each Interleaving frame, thus reducing PLP throughput slightly.
Possible to disable this setting for backwards config compatibility.
In-band Signaling B
In-band signaling B carries additional information related to the Input Processing to enable
faster initial acquisition. In-band signaling B is optional. Sent in the first BBFrame of each
Interleaving frame, thus reducing PLP throughput slightly.
The list in figure
8.71 shows all current PLPs. PLPs with port set to None are disabled, which
means these PLPs are not transmitted in any way. The PLP lists has a few columns showing
some important information.
ID
The PLP Id for each PLP.
Source
The Input Port for each PLP.
