This section
describes the basic operation of the major circuit blocks in the ATG7
Analog Test Generator module.
Bus interface
This block provides the communication b etween the mainframe and the module
circuit.
Black burst generator
This block generates NTSC or PAL black burst digital data.
BARS generator
This block generates digital data for color bars, black burst, and other signals.
SIGNAL generator
This bloc
k generates digital data for the test signals a ssigned to the front-panel
buttons.
D/A conv erter and amp
This block consists of a D/A converter, two amplifiers, and a filter. It converts
the dig
ital data from the black burst generator, BARS generator, and SIGNAL
generator to analog signal and reconstruct the signal for output.
