GPS7 module troubleshooting
Power supply test
There are two ty
pes of power supplies in the GPS7 module; those supplied by the
TG8000 mainframe and those that are derived on the GPS7 from the mainframe
supplies. The ones supplied by the mainframe are fused on the GPS7 module; they
have an 'M' at the start of the supply name. (See Table 10-5.) Derived supplies
depend on the m ainframe supply fuses for protection.
Access. To p
erform the power supply tests you must first remove the TG8000 top
cover. (See page 2-25, Top cov er.) Then use the following flowchart and table
of power supply test points to determine if the GPS7 power s upply is operating
correctly. (See Figure 10-3.) (See Table 10-5.)
