5. Adjust the parking brake as needed.
6. Lift the tractor and remove the jack stands.
Adjustment
1. Check the brake pedal free travel (Figure 5C-4).
The pedal free travel should be approximately
0.75 - 1.5 in (19 - 38 mm).

2. Use a tape measure to gauge the free travel
movement.
3. Use the rod end coupling nut to adjust the free
travel and actuating lever position.
4. Repeat the procedure for the other side.
5. See Chapter 2 to check the brake switch opera-
tion.
