Transport and installation
8. Transport and installation
We recommend that you have the machine installed and connected exclu-
sively by your TREIF sales partner. It would be sensible if your own main-
tenance personnel were present during installation and assembly.
The steps for transport and installation are described here as well as the
assembly processes that may become necessary from time to time during
the complete service life of the machine.
This chapter covers the following:
Transport and unpacking ...................................................................... 74
Installation and connection ................................................................... 74
Installing discharge conveyor ............................................................... 77
Dismantling discharge conveyor........................................................... 78
Safety instructions for moving the machine
Attention, danger to life and/or risk of damage to equip-
ment from the machine tipping over!
bMake sure that it is not possible for any persons to get injured
if the machine tips over by accident.
b When the covers are open, the machine's centre of gravity is
very unfavourable for transport.
The machine may only be moved when all covers are prop-
erly closed!
b If the machine is moved by means of a lift truck on a slope
greater than 5°, it must be pushed upwards and pulled
downwards.
Damage to the environment from hydraulic oil!
Hydraulic oil must not escape. Therefore, the machine must be
transported in a horizontal position.
Nevertheless, if hydraulic oil does escape, catch the oil and dis-
pose of it properly.
Hydraulic oil must never get into the waste water.
Damage to the machine due to improper transport!
Do not lift the machine by the knife box.
Note:
If the machine is already installed, also note the following:
b Only transport the machine when the discharge conveyor is
removed.
b Disconnect all electrical cables from the machine before
moving it.
