8.3 Installation for machines with running gear (optional)
8.3.1 Installation
b Roll unpacked machine to the final place of installation.
b Lock brake of the castors.
b Lower machine foot,
8.3.2 Lowering / raising and adjusting machine foot
Lowering:
b Ensure sufficient stability. Then press the foot lightly against the clamp
from below. Then move the foot slowly upwards to pull the entire lever
up.
Raising:
b Ensure sufficient stability. Step on the clamp and press it downwards
with the foot to the dead centre.
Damage to the machine due to improper transport!
Never move machines with running gear manually over a gradient with
an angle of inclination of > 5°. Always use a pallet truck or forklift.
Damage to the machine due to improper transport!
Do not lift the machine by the knife box.
Crushing hazard!
Ensure there are no persons in the danger zone while lowering
the machine foot.
Damage to machine and feed conveyor!
Detach the feed conveyor from the machine before lowering or
raising the machine foot.
Note:
Ensure that the brakes of the castors are locked.
If you notice that the lever moves up on its own, hold against it
with the sole of your foot. Do not let the lever move upwards on
its own.
