6.9 Changing the hydraulic oil
Permissible oil types

Draining old hydraulic oil
b Disconnect the main power supply and secure it against unintended
switching on.
b Remove the cover plate on the rear side of the machine.
Use the included box spanner for this.
b Place an oil pan next to the oil tank.
b Unscrew the supply and return lines (ZV and ZR) of the feed cylinder
from the control block. Catch the draining hydraulic oil with the oil pan.
b Unscrew the fastening screw of the tank on the bottom of the machine.
b Lift the tank with the motor out of the machine.
b Place the tank with the motor in a catch pan.
b Screw the drain plug out of the tank.
The oil runs into the catch pan.
b Remove the tank cover plate off and place the plate on an oil-resistant
base.
b Empty the tank completely.
b Clean the tank with a lint-free cleaning cloth.
Filling new hydraulic oil
Risk of injury from hot oil!
The hydraulic oil can heat up to 70 °C. Let it cool down before
you perform an oil change or check the oil level.
Contamination of the environment by oil!
Hydraulic oil must never get into the waste water system. Col-
lect escaping hydraulic oil.
Dispose of used oil filters and cleaning cloths smeared with oil
properly.
Damage of the tank cover seal!
Do not damage the tank cover seal when you remove the tank
cover plate.
Dispose of the seal properly if it is damaged and use a new
seal.
Note:
Only the hydraulic oils approved by TREIF may be used, other-
wise there is a risk for the hydraulic components of the
machine.
