J3
This connection is the output from the power supply board filter and is used to supply input voltage
to the Interface board (see Section 1.2.2).
J4
This is the remote control power down connection used to disable the power supply output from a
remote location. Applying a voltage between 5VDC and 200VDC to this input disables the DC-to-
DC converter output.
J5
This is the watch-dog connection from the Interface board. It is used to disable the power supply
board output in the event of a Station-Master problem.
J6
This is the remote control power down connection for the Interface board. This connection is
parallel to connector J4.
Board Mounting Blocks
These blocks are used to attach the board mechanically to rear panel of the assembly. They also
serve as the earth ground connection for the surge suppression capacitors.
Warning: Equipment damage will occur if joints are not mechanically tight. Surge capacitors
must be grounded through mechanical joints between the circuit board mounting
blocks and the chassis rear panel.
1.2.2 Interface Board
The Interface board contains an independent DC-to-DC converter to power this board, an
embedded processor, and a watch-dog circuit. The board monitors health of the Station-Master
computer and DME system and drives alarm output relays and front panel LEDs.
