4.7 Restoring Station Parameters
If you have backed up the station parameters, you can restore the station-specific settings to
the QML data logger.
1. In AWS Client, select Settings > Parameters > Restore to Logger.
2. In the Select File window, select the backup
file.
3. To start restoring, select Select File.
4. When the upload is complete, select Close.
The result of the parameter upload is displayed.
4.8 Managing Station Setup
The weather station functionality is based on a setup file which is loaded to the QML data
logger at the factory. The setup file includes information about the included sensors, their
settings and measuring intervals, and the QML data logger channels they use. The setup
file
also defines how often the QML data logger logs data in a file and how long the log files are
kept in the logger memory.
The name of the setup file in AWS310-SITE is AWSSITE.adc.
4.8.1
Downloading Setup File
With AWS Client, you can download the setup file currently in use in the QML data logger.
This can be useful for troubleshooting purposes.
Do not change the name of the setup
file. The name must be the same as
the one used in the QML data logger.
CAUTION!
1. In AWS Client, select Maintenance > Setup File > Download from Logger.
2. Select the folder to which you want to download the setup
file.
The default download folder is defined in the AWS Client Options window.
3. To start the download, select Select Folder.

Uploading Setup File
You may need to update the setup file, for example, to fix a problem or to introduce a new
feature.
Update the setup
file only when instructed by Vaisala, with a file received or
downloaded from Vaisala. Vaisala does not provide free support if you update the
file by
yourself.
