When you insert a new memory card into the QML data logger, the software checks that the
card is ready for use. The LED next to the card slot indicates the status of the memory card.

4.9.4 Transferring Data from External Memory Card
To retrieve the log files from the memory card, copy the data from the memory card to a
computer or use AWS Client.
You can remove the memory card from the QML logger for data retrieval without
interruptions to operations, but do not remove the memory card while the QML logger
writes data, or data may be lost.

Updating QML Data Logger Software with Loader
You can update the QML data logger software by using the loader.exe program.
1. Save the following files into the same folder on your computer.
• Loader program loader.exe
• QML201C software bin.mot
2. Connect one end of the maintenance cable to the COM0 port of the station.
3. If you can use the COM1 port in your computer, connect the other end of the
maintenance cable to the COM1 port.
a. To make sure that the serial port is free for software loading, close the service
connection.
b. Close all other Windows programs.
c. Open Command Prompt and go to the folder where you have the
files loader.exe
and bin.mot.
d. In the folder, type loader and press ENTER.
The Command Prompt window shows Waiting.
