8-3 Ring gear
When replacing the ring gear due to excessive wear or
damaged teeth, heat the ring gear evenly
at its drcumfer-
ence, and after
it has expanded drive it gradually off the
flywheel
by tapping it with a hammer, a copper bar or
something similar around the whole circumference.
