(1) Check the spring
for
scratches
or
corrosion.
(2) Measure the free length of the spring.

stepped, replace.

(1)
Check
the
neutral,
forward
and
reverse
position
grooves.
Replace if the grooves are worn.
(2) Measure the insertion hole of the shift
levers
haft.
Replace if the size deviates from the standard value.
(3) Check the oil seal and the O-ring for damage.
Replace
if
the part is defective.

spring slot is

3-14 Shim
adjustment
for
output
and
input
shafts
Check
the thickness
of
shims for both input and output
shafts. When the component parts are not replaced after
dismantling, the
same
shims can be reused.
When
the
clutch case and flange
or
any one of the following parts is
replaced the thickness of shim must
be
determined in the
following manner.
For
input
shaft
part:
input shaft, bearing.
For
output
shaft
parts

gear, bearing.
