2-1 Construction
There are two types of mixing elbows, the L-type and the
U-type. The mixing elbow is attached to the exhaust
man·
ifold. Refer to the exterior diagrams included here.

2-2 Mixing elbow inspection
( 1) Clean dirt and scale out of the air and cooling water
lines.
(2) Repair crach
or damage to welds, or replace.
(3) Inspect the gasket packing and replace as necessary.
