8.5.3.5 Receive Port
This is the TCP or UDP port number the phone uses to receive SIP messages. The default value
of 5060 is used if you leave this field blank.
To access this panel, select Menu | Pswd Settings | SIP Settings | Receive Port.
8.5.3.6 Transport Protocol
This panel determines if the phone uses UDP or TCP to transport the SIP messages. The default
is UDP. The current version of software does not support TCP.
To access this panel, select Menu | Pswd Settings | SIP Settings | Transport Protocol.
8.5.3.7 Invite Retransmission
This parameter specifies the number of unsuccessful INVITE transmissions before the phone
switches to the backup proxy. Valid settings range from 1 to 6.
To access this panel, select Menu | Pswd Settings | SIP Settings | Invite Retrans.
8.5.3.8 Non Invite Retransmission
This parameter specifies the number of unsuccessful retransmissions (other than INVITE) before
the phone switches to the backup proxy. Valid settings range from 1 to 10.
To access this panel, select Menu | Pswd Settings | SIP Settings | Non Invite Retr.
8.5.3.9 Message Validation
When this parameter is set to Yes, the phone verifies the IP address, Device ID, and port number
of any SIP messages that it receives. If these parameters do not match those of the phone, the SIP
message is discarded.
