The phone waits 10 seconds for you to press a button or key. If you do not press a button or
key in 10 seconds, the phone exits this menu selection.
2. Push each button and key on the keypad in proper sequence, starting with the Call 1 button
in the top left corner of the keypad and proceeding right. The first four buttons that you
should press are Call 1, Call 2, Msg/Encrypt, and DND/Fwd.
When you press a button in proper sequence, the phone displays a mark in the
corresponding space of the LCD. If you press a button out of order, the phone beeps and the
LCD is not altered. After pressing the first four buttons the display shows:
3. After pressing all of the buttons on a row, proceed to the next row of buttons. Each display
row corresponds to two rows of buttons. After you press each button in the first four rows,
the display shows:
4. After you press all 24 buttons in proper sequence, the phone displays a completion message,
then returns to the Self Test menu shown in section 8.6.1 on page 119:
If you do not press a button during a 10 second period, the phone displays a timeout
message, then returns to the Self Test menu:
8.6.5 LEDs
This test verifies that each of the LED functions properly. To perform the LEDs test:
1. Select Menu | Self Test | LEDs. The LCD displays:
