Versions. You can update the software version. Later versions may include more features or better
support for existing features. The boot code permanently resides on the phone and you cannot
modify it. You may need to provide the hardware version and date of manufacture if you need
support on the phone. The versions on your phone may be different from those shown in the
following examples.
See section 4.4.5 on page 34 for instructions on updating the software.
8.4 User Settings
This menu selection allows you to tailor the phone to suit your personal preferences. When you
select Menu | User Settings the display shows:
This example shows nine rows, though in practice the display can show only three rows at once.
As you press the Up and Down keys, the display scrolls through the list of choices. The options
include:
LCD Contrast. Improve readability of the display. See section 8.4.1.
Greeting. Change the display in the idle state. See section 8.4.2.
Clear settings. Reset the settings to those created by the system administrator. See section 8.4.3.
Date and Time. Set the current date and time and the offset from GMT. See section 8.4.4.
