Installation
3.1 Preparing the Phone for Use
Before you can use your ZIP2x2 or ZIP2x1 phone, you must mount it, insert the handset, supply
power to the phone, and connect the phone to your network. In addition to all of the features
supplied by the ZIP2x1, the ZIP2x2 can use Power over Ethernet and has an additional Ethernet
circuit that can connect another device to the network.
3.1.1 Wall or Desk Mounting
You can mount the phone on a wall or on a desk. Observe the mounting holes on the bottom of
the phone to determine the screw placement when mounting the phone on a wall.
3.1.2 Handset
Connect the handset to the side of the phone, as shown in figure 3-1.
