Invite Retransmissions. This parameter specifies the number of unsuccessful INVITE
transmissions before the phone switches to the backup proxy. Section 8.5.3.7 on page 112
describes the equivalent menu command.
Non-Invite Retransmissions. This parameter specifies the number of unsuccessful retransmissions
(other than INVITE) before the phone switches to the backup proxy. Section 8.5.3.8 on page 112
describes the equivalent menu command.
Validate Request URI in SIP messages. When this parameter is set to Yes, the phone verifies the IP
address, Device ID, and port number of any SIP messages that it receives. If these parameters do
not match those of the phone, the SIP message is discarded. Section 8.5.3.9 on page 112 describes
the equivalent menu command.
E.6.3 Names and Numbers
The Names and Numbers panel, as shown in figure E-20, displays the parameters required by the
phone to identify itself and to access the voice mail server. The Names and Numbers panel displays
the configuration options for the following parameters:
Device ID. This parameter specifies the name which this phone uses to register with the SIP
registrar and to subsequently make calls. This parameter is the user portion of the address “user
@ domain”. Section 8.5.5.1 on page 115 describes the equivalent menu command.
Domain. This parameter specifies the domain name for the enterprise. Section 8.5.5.2 on page 116
describes the equivalent menu command.
Voice Mail. This parameter specifies the name or number for the server that stores voice mail.
Section 8.5.5.3 on page 116 describes the equivalent menu command.
